Korsakov started in 2019 when A. composed the first excerpts of what would become погружать. Initially conceived as a solo project, he was quickly joined by E. who came to lend his voice to the different pieces that make up this first album.

Following this release and the very positive reception it received. A. and E. began to produce the sequel to погружать namely Anosognosia between 2021 and 2024 and to prepare futures live gigs.

Beyond the obvious black-metal influences, Korsakov can also draw inspiration from other musical trends (electronic music, shoegaze, ambient, etc.) but also from the Plastic Arts (Viennese actionism, photographer Steve McCurry, sculptor Ron Mueck, etc.)

Korsakov draws inspiration from the syndrome of the same name, which can be summed up as a severe neurological disorder causing an irremediable loss of memory and a strong tendency to fabricate.

Remembering a past that never existed, forgetting the present, guiding us by an invisible hand that manipulates us as it pleases.
